UHDs will have higher quality than Netflix/Vudu streams, although the difference is not noticeable to everyone. With regards to playing a UHD rip on a media streamer like the Shield vs a higher end product like the Oppo 203, there shouldn't be a major difference assuming everything is configured correctly.
